Love Your Neighbors

Since last November, we have been very intentional in getting to know our neighbors. One neighbor, Holly had befriended, is Carolina. Carolina lives alone and has been battling cancer for 4 years. Holly learned that she was from a Catholic background so for Valentine’s Day, she sent her 45 verses about God’s love on heart shaped paper. Carolina said they were her life-line. Caroline was so ill though that Holly rarely got to see her, so their friendship was mainly on text. Holly would offer to go get her groceries, bring in her trash cans or help clean her house. But this past month, it became clear that Carolina’s health was deteriorating even more. Holly set up a time to go visit her while Matt watched the kids. During that time, Holly asked her if she knew she died today, would she feel confident that she’d be with God in heaven. She said she wasn’t sure. Holly then shared the gospel with her and Carolina said, “This is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with me!” Carolina prayed right there to have Christ in her life and to not just know of Him but to now have a relationship with Him. Please pray for her as she wants to grow in Jesus, but is in a lot of pain and is mainly resting in bed.

Eternal Perspective at MIT

Getting to go to Boston and train students on how to live this life with the eternal in mind was an awesome opportunity. Both of us got to train the students on things we are passionate about to help them grow in how they will truly be like Jesus on campus, in their careers and ultimately through the rest of their lives. We not only trained students from MIT, Harvard and Boston University, but we trained students from other countries like Bosnia, Romania and El Salvador that plan to go back to their countries and be leaders and influencers. Please pray that God raises up these leaders to impact their spheres of influence for the glory of God and the expansion of His Kingdom!

Summer Update

Thank you so much for praying for us as we were in Florida taking seminary classes. These classes greatly impact how we teach the Bible and disciple students. Your participation with us is truly going to make an eternal impact in generations to come!

Blessings, Matt, Holly, Carter & Briella Melton
