Students Sharing Jesus

Students Sharing Jesus with Their Classmates

After the women’s retreat, Holly continued to meet with some of the college women to guide them on how to share their faith with their friends on campus. Here are two women who are sharing their faith and how you can pray for them.

My name is Madelyn. I’ve been meeting with my friend Shagupta who believes in Hinduism. She is open to Jesus and the Christian faith, as she has been attending Bible study at Glendale Community College. My friends and I have met with her to learn more about Hinduism and the story of Krishna. My hope was that this would show how we care to learn more about her faith and create a space where we could connect and talk about faith in a safe space.

This has led to conversations with her about Jesus and the afterlife. We’ve been able to connect partial truths in Hinduism back to Jesus. She is curious to learn more about what her faith says about the afterlife and whether she would want to be reincarnated or go to heaven. I pray that through searching for the truth, she remains curious and recognizes that Jesus is the only way to be saved. Pray for my friends and me that we would continue to be sensitive and respectful of her faith and still lovingly share Jesus. Pray the Holy Spirit would speak and work through us to point her to Jesus. Thank you!

My name is Sarah. I’ve known Alex since high school. We have been having faith conversations for over eight years now. He is ethically Jewish and believes in the Old Testament but has not decided whether he believes in Jesus as the Messiah. He has started initiating Bible studies with me and some Christian friends so that he can ask us questions. His most recent question was, "Does Jesus claim to be God?" We were able to confirm this using passages mostly in the book of John.

One of his barriers to accepting Jesus is that he doesn't understand the Trinity. I expect to have more conversations with him on the Trinity in the future. Please pray that God would give us wisdom, words, and the right Scripture passages as we have these conversations. Pray God would give Alex understanding, that Jesus would reveal Himself to Alex as God, and ultimately that Alex would give his life to Jesus, accepting him as Christ the Messiah.

Thank you for praying for these students as they lovingly share Jesus with others from different faith backgrounds, and thank you for praying for us and our ministry!
