Cal State Fullerton Freshman Bible Study
THANK YOU so much for your prayers as we begin reaching out to students in this new school year. God is moving! We spent the first few weeks out on campus just meeting as many students as possible, asking them to fill out a spiritual interest survey. That way we can re-connect with those who want to know more about God and the gospel. One highlight was bringing our kids with us as we met students. (See Holly and Briella talking to some Muslim students below.)
Of the surveys that were completed, around a THOUSAND students marked wanting to further dialogue about God and spiritual things! Matt is now following up these contacts with the students he is discipling and sharing the gospel. Please pray that we see many lives changed as the gospel goes forth!
One student said that though she was raised in a Muslim home, her parents told her that she could go explore other religions when she went off to college. She is open and interested in talking more about the Bible and Jesus!
Another praise is the great response of freshmen who want to study the Bible. Fifteen students have attended Matt’s small group! (Pictured above.) This is only one of many studies we have on campus. Just this week he taught them about how to be empowered by the Holy Spirit so that they can bear much fruit and see God work powerfully in their lives. Pray that they will grow in Christ and become ministers of the gospel as well.
Please pray for our upcoming Fall Retreat (Sept 25-27). It is a great time for students to get plugged in to our community, as well as learn what Cru is about and grow in their walk with the Lord. Please pray for Holly as she prepares and teaches a Biblical Conflict Resolution class online every Wednesday, Oct 7-Nov 11, from 1-2:30pm PST.
