Training the Next Generation
...is one of Holly’s passions, even as a busy mom. She wants to take every opportunity to train people how to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead in their lives. This month, she was invited to train students at the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Costa Mesa and was even recorded for future online classes. She will be speaking again to another Bible class November 17th to spur students on in taking steps of faith in sharing Jesus with others. Holly also had the opportunity to teach at one of the Cal State Fullerton Cru weekly meetings (pictured above). She went through Psalm 107 and talked about how people may be wanderers, prisoners to their own addictions, fools or traumatized, but if they “cry out to the Lord," He will deliver them. As we share our faith with many types of people, we may not see them come to know Jesus in that moment, but we can continue to pray that they cry out to the Lord, because we know that when they do, God WILL deliver them!
”Random” evangelism isn’t random,
if the Holy Spirit is leading
Matt saw this first hand as he and one of the interns, Kelsey, went out to meet students and engage in spiritual conversations. They met a girl named, Maytena, who was interested in learning more about the gospel. They went through the track, “Knowing God Personally”. Matt asked for the Holy Spirit to give him clarity what to emphasize and he took her back to Ephesians 2:8-9 to reiterate how we are saved only by grace and not by what we do. Right there, in the middle of campus, Maytena said she needed and wanted Jesus in her life. Praise God for this new believer! Your prayers and partnership with us is seeing lives forever changed with the gospel! Please pray she will get involved in a small group and grow in her new faith in Christ.
Fall Retreat for Cal State Fullerton
We had over 120 students attend our fall retreat. Students lives were changed as they were challenged to go “Into the Deep” with Jesus. They have come back excited to share the gospel with their friends and classmates. Please pray that more students will come to Christ as we continue to follow the Spirit’s lead. Also, please pray for Holly as she speaks at the Cal Poly Pomona fall retreat on Nov 7th.
