Training 1000 Students in the Gospel + Holly's Health

Training 1000 Students in the Gospel

“Winter Conference is a gathering of college students experiencing Jesus,  growing together in their faith, and discovering their place in the mission of God.”

Over 1000 staff and students gathered in SoCal and saw God do amazing things. Holly had the opportunity to help train them in evangelism and gift them with her book, “Follow My Lead,” to help them grow in how to share Jesus with others. During the day of outreach, students who had never shared Jesus before initiated with 1,364 people. They were able to begin 355 spiritual conversations, with 77 of those leading to a clear gospel presentation. We know of 7 people who came to Christ. Praise God for their steps of faith and the new believers! We are praying they will now head back to campus and share Jesus more boldly with others!

Holly also got to train students on “What is God’s will for your life?” during seminars. One student said that the seminar was the most transformational part of the conference.

Many students are now considering going on a summer mission or a year-long mission with Cru. Many surrendered to the Lord their future, as well as desiring to live lives of holiness. We pray these students will now shine for Jesus, be unashamed of the gospel, and grow in their sanctification.

Holly’s Health and Upcoming Resources

Holly’s MRIs came back showing a dissected artery in her neck. The doctors want to wait to see if it heals by March when her next MRI is scheduled. She is doing further testing on whether this is hereditary because this could affect Carter and Briella as well as Holly, as more arteries can begin to dissect in the future.

Holly joined the “Evangelistic Initiatives Team” for the entire campus ministry. This team develops, executes, and supports strategies that accelerate evangelism among students and faculty. The goal is to create an open and honest dialogue centered on Jesus. Holly will be contributing to the team in two ways. First, she will be partnering with the show, The Chosen, to write a curriculum for each episode that can be used with seeker small groups on campuses or in-home groups. She will begin writing in February. Her second focus is to create an evangelistic message and travel to campuses in the fall to engage non-believers with the gospel. She will begin writing that message in March. Please pray for these two new ministry focuses that require guidance from the Holy Spirit. Thank you for partnering with us as we reach others with the gospel!
