BRIELLA GRACE MELTON
Briella Grace was born via an emergency c-section after we learned at our routine doctor’s visit that Holly’s amniotic fluid was almost gone and she could no longer stay in the womb. With four hours to drive home, find someone to watch Carter, pack, Matt edit a ministry video and Holly cancel a radio interview she was to have that afternoon, we headed back to the hospital.
Matt filmed Holly and himself saying a few words before her birth. He was able to audio record her first cry as she entered this world. He also took videos of her first few minutes of life. Click the video above to watch our video celebrating Briella’s first 4 days life.
Though Briella was born two weeks early, she is fully developed and healthy. Holly is recovering quickly and only needs help lifting Carter in an out of his crib.
Carter has really enjoyed having a little sister so far. He reaches to hold her, and pats her head, holds her hand, and kisses her face. It’s a joy to see!
Briella means, “God is my strength” so our life verse for her is Psalm 28:7, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.” We pray she will grow into a strong woman of the Lord who fully trusts in Him.

• Please pray for Matt as he flies to North Carolina April 12-16 to visit his sister, Christine, and her husband, David. David has been battling acute leukemia for 5 years and his body is now at a place where he may no longer be able to fight it. Matt is going to film him leaving messages for his four children he will be leaving behind: Ethan (8), Anna (7), Titus (6), Zach (4). We are thankful Matt can use his videography/editing skills to bless them. Please pray for this family as they walk through this painful season. Praise God they are strong believers and have peace through this process.
