God’s Math: 250 students + 1,200 gospel convos
= 50 people accepting Christ!
Spring Break is often a time for college students to go to the beaches and party, but this spring break, 250 students chose a different path. They gathered in Panama City Beach, Florida where they learned how to share their faith in the mornings, then went out and engaged with people about the gospel in the afternoon. In the evenings, Holly taught her new series on “What is God’s Will for Your Life?” You can listen to two of the talks on Holly Melton’s Podcast through iTunes. Click Here
Not only did 50 people come to Christ, but much confession of sin occurred and the students attending are now on fire to continue to be sent ones and to grow in their sanctification. Whitney, who just started following Jesus 6 months ago, came, learned to share her faith and went back to campus sharing the gospel with her friends. Already, her friend, Sarah, accepted Christ and now she will disciple her! Also, check out Madeline’s facebook post after the trip!
Check out this video of a student named Liz who came as a participant on this spring break trip. She decided to put her faith in Christ by being around believers, hearing the messages and watching others go out and share their faith! Holly met with her after she shared this and Liz said she came because she wanted to really see if God was real and she could not deny God’s presence in her own life and in the lives of her friends during the week!
PRAYER REQUEST & PERSONAL UPDATE
We’d love for you to pray for us as we start an Alpha group for our neighborhood. Alpha is a 10 week course where people can come into our home and explore their questions about God and Christianity in a safe environment. We are in the stages of planning and inviting neighbors to join us. Would you please pray that those who are spiritually curious would come and explore life, faith and Jesus?
Our personal update is that Briella turned four on March 23rd. She has been such a joy in our lives! Of course, she loves anything princess and beauty so we are quickly teaching her how “Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) Our desire is that she would be a woman who is always searching her heart and refining it to truly display the beauty of Christ.
